After planning to travel to Canada for higher studies, I always wanted to see a glimpse of Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is the gem of Ontario, and it will take your breath away. Just after arriving in Toronto and getting started on the new chapter of my life, I decided to pay a visit with a few of my friends to Niagara Falls. I was lucky to see the rare beauty of the falls during the night, filled with lights, crowds, and colors. The beauty of the night glimmered in the light show of the falls. Niagara City lights up, and the party comes to life.
The Trip from Toronto
The trip started in Scarborough, Toronto. A couple of my friends and I drove to Niagara City, which took us around 3 hours to get there. We crossed Lake Ontario while going to the Falls. The nighttime beauty of the place was mesmerizing as well, even though there was not much natural beauty except for the lake. Usually, you can park near the tourist spot of Niagara Falls, but that particular day was crowded due to the long weekend. So we had to park at the Skylon Tower parking lot for C$10.
The Niagara Experience
We went on a cold summer day when I visited the place. As I was standing in front of the falls, the splashes of the falls felt like raging raindrops mixed with the cold wind, which blew strongly. I felt as if the mixed splashes would throw me afoot. You can see both Niagara Falls in the US and Canada from one place. The light show from Canada at night on the falls is a must-see!
Skylon Tower View
The view from the Skylon Tower is a must for all tourists to see. The tower stands over 500 ft above ground, displaying the majestic view of Niagara City, Niagara Falls, and Buffalo in the USA just from one tower. It took around C$30-35 to get to the view. You can buy souvenirs from shops like Skylon Tower, which houses beautiful symbols and souvenirs. You will also get bars and restaurants over there as well.
Niagara City
The main attraction of the place in the dark is the city. The carnivals, bars, restaurants, and shops light up the city. And the city of Niagara never sleeps. Most people make the mistake of just visiting Niagara Falls during the day, forgetting the beauty that lights out in the dark. Niagara City turns into the Vegas of Ontario.
Every person who travels to Ontario should at least visit Niagara Falls once in life. I am planning to make a trip there again soon and share my adventures on the boat ride near the falls.
